By integrating yourself into team-oriented tasks and events (meetings, networking etc.) you will be able to leverage your natural tendencies to be around people. This will allow you to build your network, represent your company well and make progress on that task at hand. You tend to flourish in socially-focused events and projects, in some cases, you may need re-direction at times to stay on task and socialize less. Remember to re-align to your goals and focus when needed.

  • Are you able to work in a team environment?
  • Do you integrate on all event and projects where possible?
  • Do you get distracted by socializing?

What does a balanced score mean?

You enjoy working in teams, however, you also prefer independent work. You tend to find long periods of socializing tiring and need to "recharge" from time to time.

You may find that while you very much enjoy the company of others and appreciate the rapport you've established with your team, over-socializing can be taxing. Consider implementing regular breaks away from others to "recharge". You can come across as very social and extraverted, but without the breaks you crave, you may impede your focus, productivity, and become fatigued.

  • Are you well integrated into your team?
  • Do you take breaks from socializing periodically?

What does a lower score mean?

You enjoy your own company and prefer to work individually on detailed projects.

If you feel as though your preference for independent work is frowned upon, consider "collaborating" with your colleagues by asking for their input or advice on your projects or managing your clients. They will perceive you as more socially engaged, and you may get beneficial insight. Complete your work independently and on your own terms. Pressure to fulfill a role on a team to increase team dynamic could reduce your productivity and make you feel uncomfortable to the point of disengagement.
